How GuessBeat works
Short clip. Sharp ears. Win the room.
GuessBeat is a multiplayer music quiz: hear a mystery clip, guess the song, and race friends for the most points.
Round flow
- Create or join a room. Share the 4-letter code with your friends, or browse public lobbies.
- Set the mix. Choose eras, moods, genres, regions, artists, and albums to match your crew.
- Tap the disc. Hear up to about 30 seconds of a mystery track (or an embeddable video when that is the available preview).
- Pick your answer. Speed and accuracy decide your points for the round.
- Climb the board. Scores update live; finished matches can appear on leaderboards.
How scoring works
Guess early to maximize your round multiplier. Points scale with remaining time.
The correct track option locks in the main score for the round.
Wrong answers still cost you time, so speed alone will not carry your streak.

FAQ
Do I need an account?
Not to play. Accounts help with profiles and saved progress, but room games work instantly without sign-in.
Where do the song clips come from?
Each round pulls from merged catalogs — Spotify, Deezer, Apple iTunes Search, and more. We only use tracks that have a short preview or an embeddable video. See Music previews & licensing.
Why would a clip not match the song title?
Occasionally the game plays a fallback round — a substitute clip used to keep the match moving when a particular preview is unavailable. This is rare. If it keeps happening, try adjusting filters.
Why might songs repeat?
We avoid recent repeats per room and globally. If your filters return a small catalog, some overlap can still happen.
